No, it’s not ew. I have that reaction to everything I write, and no, it’s not not Nabokov, but as long as you don’t think it’s perfect, right? Means you’ve got taste. I mean, it’s all a learning experience. And I, for one, love your imagination.

You are honestly the best. The. Best. 

I know, it’s going to take forever (maybe I’ll never grow out of it, even) to stop hating/seriously disliking everything I write. But at least I’m sharing it, right? sigh. Also, I think the ‘ew’ was more of a reaction to the description of the whole scene because I’m reading the whole thing right now and I’m thinking to myself, ‘wow, this guy is just melting into a puddle of skin and bones and that’s a rather gruesome image.’

Practice is the mother of all learning and I’ve got a long way to go.
